Karen S. Walch, Ph.D., is a highly experienced educator and consultant who brings a unique insight to the areas of international negotiation, cultural competencies, and global mindset. Dr. Walch has several decades of experience in various business and academic contexts, including: insurance, law, tourism, aquaculture, security studies, and MBA graduate education. She has spoken and worked in countries such as Saudi Arabia, China, India, Japan, Spain, Israel, Germany, Russia, Brazil, and Mexico to deliver her noteworthy presentations. Dr. Walch has received over a dozen teaching awards and she will provide you with the mindset and skills essential for successful negotiation in today's multicultural and globalized world.
Dr. Walch has written the book, Power of Understanding: Achieving Buoyancy for Negotiation (Acanthus Publishing, 2013). Professor Michael Wheeler from Harvard Business School suggests the book encourages negotiators to turn their attention inward, first to their own sense of self and then to themselves in relationship to others. Furthermore, she is the co-author of Maximizing Business Results with the Cultural Orientations Approach (Putz et al., 2014).
